Schleuniger, Inc. to Exhibit Wire Processing Solutions at The Assembly Show

Schleuniger, Inc., a leading international manufacturer of high-precision wire processing machines, will be exhibiting at The Assembly Show. This exclusive showcase will be held October 25-27, 2016 at the Donald E. Stevens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL. Schleuniger will be at booth #231 providing hands-on demonstrations of innovative solutions for stripping, cutting, crimping and marking all types of wire and cable.

For the first time at The Assembly Show, Schleuniger will demonstrate the 2015 Productronica innovation award winning, CoaxCenter 6000. The CoaxCenter 6000 is the first and only fully automatic machine for processing micro-coaxial and coaxial cables as well as single conductor wires. The machine’s QCam 360 automatically monitors stripping quality, eliminating the need for time-consuming manual post-production monitoring processes. In addition, the CoaxCenter 6000 also achieves extremely high productivity. The output of this machine is at least three times higher than with manual and semi-automatic equipment and requires considerably lower personnel and handling requirements.

In addition, Schleuniger will be introducing its Wire Harness Assembly Lines to the North American market. Wire Harness Assembly Lines are typically used for high volume wiring harness assembly in automotive, appliance and other markets. In addition to the industry standard rotary type assembly lines, Schleuniger offers space-saving transverse type and horizontal lift type assembly lines, which save valuable floor space in factories due to their innovative design. Wire Harness Assembly Lines can be custom made to fit existing wiring harness boards or offered in a range of standard sizes. Both single and double sided versions are available. A simple user interface allows customers to set the line speed, keep track of the production rate and any stop time. All Wire Harness Assembly Lines can be customized with respect to the number of working stations, line speed as well as optional lighting and operator start/stop controls. With so many models and variations, Schleuniger can provide a Wire Harness Assembly Line for your exact requirements. Visit the Schleuniger booth to learn more and to see a miniature scale version of the horizontal lift-type wire harness assembly line in action.

Schleuniger will also show its newest cut and strip machine, the EcoStrip 9380. The EcoStrip 9380 offers the most complete feature set at an economical price point. It can be configured with rollers or belt transports and the configuration can be quickly and easily changed by the operator. The unique 3-position design of the optional belt feeding system further enhances the customer’s capabilities and can be set for normal mode, roller mode or short mode processing – depending upon the application. The EcoStrip 9380 is also compatible with a wide range of accessories, including prefeeding, marking, stacking and coiling, which turn the stand-alone machine into a fully automatic processing line.

Thanks, to Schleuniger’s worldwide cooperation with Laser Wire Solutions, Schleuniger will also be demonstrating the Mercury-4 laser wire stripping machine, designed by Laser Wire Solutions. The machine strips wires and cables ranging in size from 50 – 6 AWG. This innovative machine does not require any mechanical adjustments to process different wire sizes. Using the color touchscreen, the operator selects the desired stripping parameters from the programmed library and all parameters (strip lengths, laser power and speed, etc.) are automatically set. Once the operator selects the required program, the machine is ready for operation. The Mercury-4 can strip cables inserted into the supplied fixture aperture to an end stop, or via a custom fixture plate. A camera allows the whole process to be monitored.

Also new this year, Schleuniger will demonstrate the ShieldCut 8100. The ShieldCut 8100 can safely and quickly cut and remove the braided shield layer from most shielded cables, eliminating countless hours of manual labor. As the only machine of its kind, the ShieldCut 8100 fills a current market need for efficient processing of shielded cables.

In addition, the new UniStrip 2050 wire stripping machine will be on display. The UniStrip 2050 is a great solution for customers looking for a simple, low-cost pneumatic stripping unit for medium sized cables and wires. The fully pneumatic machine is extremely simple to set up and operate and excels with its compact design and ample stripping power.

Many additional products will be demonstrated including the CrimpCenter 36 S, MegaStrip 9650, RotaryStrip 2400, StripCrimp 200 and UniCrimp 200 as well as equipment from the UniStrip line of wire stripping machines and CoaxStrip line of coaxial cable stripping machines.
