WORKSHOP PRESENTATION
The Smart Factory: Industry 3.5, Productions Vital Role in Manufacturing’s Journey to Success

Today manufacturers have networked equipment collecting data and storing it on servers, in varying clouds or in data lakes with little to no use of such information. What is possible today is this same equipment reporting elements of demand and flow to a workforce, oriented to a culture of continuous improvement, supported by machine learning.  “Manufacturing management is challenged today to enable greater competitive advantages delivered consistently at higher speed, greater flexibility, higher quality, and at lower costs. To meet these challenges, operations will be required to greatly increase cycles of improvement, innovation and collaborative efforts across the organization.”
