LEARNING THEATER PRESENTATION
Why I Chose Battery-Free AGVs for a High Volume Assembly Line
Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), with their independent movement, variable speeds, and easily changed fixtures, create flexibility that traditional conveyance can’t match. We’re seeing companies with millions of dollars in chain-based conveyance move to AGVs. As this trend continues to advance, we see manufacturers gaining unprecedented flexibility that will allow them to quickly respond to market changes in a way that’s smart, cost-effective, and safe.
In this presentation, I’ll tell you how and why I chose inductive powered AGVs for a high volume assembly line in my previous role as Senior Buyer at large automaker. I’ll also cover why a simple AGV line change-up can significantly improve assembly line worker efficiency in a high volume manufacturing environment.
RedViking designs and builds assembly lines, including process design, machines, conveyance, quality systems, and MES. Located in Plymouth, MI, Raleigh, NC, and Corpus Christi, TX, we serve many manufacturing industries including automotive, aerospace, defense, and heavy equipment.
